Sound and music connect directly to our emotions and the deeper parts of our brains. We all know the tranquility of the sounds of nature – the wind in the trees, a babbling brook, birds singing …

In sound for wellbeing, we use this magical response to great advantage, with instruments known for their calming effects on our nervous systems.

It’s so easy!

During a ‘soundbath’ you simply sit or lie down, and let the beautiful sounds wash over you, drawing you effortlessly into a state of deep relaxation. This is exactly what the body & mind need to ‘reset’, easing tension-based ailments, lifting our mood and restoring our energy.

Requirements

  • A quiet space for 10 – 20 people to lie down or sit on chairs. A local yoga studio may be possible if no room is available.
  • Participants need to bring their own cushions and blankets, and mats if lying down.
  • Assistance carrying the equipment to the room.

Note

NB. Soundbaths are contra-indicated for people with pacemakers, in pregnancy and for those with serious mental illness.
