Music and sound can be transformative for people with a wide range of health issues and additional needs.
For those with developmental disabilities, medical conditions, or mental health issues, the passive experience of beautiful, live sound can provide welcome positive stimulus, comfort and relief.
People so often say after a ‘Sound bath’ that they have relaxed more than they have in a very long time, that they experienced respite from chronic pain; and feel a lifting of their spirits.
What does it involve?
Participants can lie or sit as most comfortable. Depending on the needs of the group, the session may begin with a guided relaxation, or be purely a progression of sounds to take people gently into relaxation. Sessions generally last an hour, or can be shorter if more appropriate.
